PSG Lures Wenger for the Third Time

Ligue 1 powerhouse, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) is said to be planning for Arsene Wenger’s shock move to France.

The Sun reported that the defending champion is  preparing a £10M move for the manager’s transfer. The offer is a lucrative one since this is a £2M increase from what he currently enjoys at London.

Aside from the salary increase, the club’s management also promised to give Wenger its full support in the transfer window.

PSG’s confidence in luring the Gunners’ boss continues to increase its momentum since he is already in his final year of his contract. To date, it remains uncertain if he will continue leading the team or not.

Other than the contact expiration, the French outfit is also exploiting Arsenal’s lackluster performance.

The squad’s title hopes are at risk of being compromised after suffering two consecutive defeats. From the second spot, the team struggles at the 4th spot of the league table.

Likewise, their chances of advancing in the Champions League looks uncertain too.

In the recent draw, Arsenal will face the Bundesliga giant, Bayern Munich for the fourth time. They have not beaten the Bavarians in their last three meetings.

PSG believes that the above-mentioned factors will convince Arsenal to let go of the Specialist.

This is the third time that the Parisiens approached Wenger. But the latter has always declined their offer.

“I know well the owners [at PSG], but I feel always I remained loyal to Arsenal Football Club because I think it’s a club that has the qualities I love. And, that’s why,” Wenger shared.

However, despite the optimism that is expressed in Sun’s report, this remains a speculation.

A few days ago, reports have it that PSG is actually rooting for Manchester United’s former manager, Louis Van Gaal as the perfect replacement for Unai Emery.
