Match Preview: Everton vs. Manchester City

Everton is one of the clubs to beat in this competition and Manchester City is definitely a powerhouse that will not easily throw the white towel.

As these two clubs meet, one can only expect a down the wire match that has a high possibility of ending in a draw (3.83) or for those whose risk appetite is not that big, a double chance, away or draw (1.22) bet is also profitable.

Everton’s strength stems from their impressive performance at Goodison Park. They are undefeated in 12 of their last 13 matches.

With City as their next opponent, it is highly impossible for them not to use their home court advantage. The last thing that they want is to be humiliated in front of their own crowd, just like what happened to their last two home matches.

One of the things that punters should look out for is Morgan Schneiderlin. The ex-Manchester United player just had its medical and if they are able to finalize the deal immediately, he might feature in this match.

This is not the first time that Schneiderlin and Ronald Koeman worked together. The duo was a great tandem when they were still performing for Southampton, so this will serve as a reunion for both individuals. However, they need to be consistent if they want to dominate Manchester City, just like what they did to Arsenal.

Speaking of Manchester City, the team faces injury concerns with Ilkay Gundogan staying in the sidelines and Leroy Sane doubtful. Fernandinho, who just returned from a suspension is suspended again after being booked.
The current situation might create more defensive problems for City, which just lost a crucial match to Liverpool.

Sitting on the 4th spot of the league table, the once formidable squad is now struggling to go on top of the table.

Technically, City can be easily dismissed as the favorite. But like Everton, their inconsistencies are also causing them problems.

Sergio Aguero delivered a goal in their match against Burnley. Hopefully, this will signal his return to winning ways since his presence was hardly felt during the Liverpool encounter.

Considering how competitive this match is, there is a chance that the score ends in 1-1 (7.21)
