Swansea’s change of management, which started with Paul Clement’s arrival is expected to bring them the much needed points.
So far, they have been successful when they ended their four-match losing streak with a win against Crystal Palace. But the said success was short lived. The team was eliminated in the FA Cup after losing to Hull City.
Clearly, the team has a troubled morale, which probably worsened with the news of Fernando Llorente’s departure.
Llorente, who happened to be their scoring machine will be loaned to Chelsea. At first, it was said that Michy Batshuayi will replace him. But the Belgian international refused to go to Liberty Stadium and preferred wearing a West Ham United jersey instead. Soon it was told that his brother, Aaron Leya Iseka would be taking Llorente’s post.
Though Iseka is revered for his undeniable talent on the pitch, he has yet to prove himself in this highly competitive league.
Facing Arsenal is indeed, an acid test for the Swans. But they can capitalize on the idea that they have dominated three of their last five matches against the Gunners.
However, the biggest question is if they can replicate their previous success. Their present form is not that impressive, having lost four of their last six matches. This is in stark contrast to Arsenal, which is undefeated in four if its last six encounters. If one has to take a closer look, Arsene Wenger and his men have already established a 27-match undefeated run, which means that Arsenal (1.48) will most likely dominate this faceoff.
Despite the fact that Llorente will still play for Swansea, this does not guarantee that the will deliver the points. Swansea may have a hard time in identifying scoring opportunities. Under this context, it would be a lucrative bet if one predicts that not all of the clubs will score (2.02).
It is also highly possible for Arsenal to keep a clean sheet. The predicted final score for this encounter is 0-2 (7.87)
